This is a small collection of the most popular maps played by the current community. I will give a brief description of each map including its time period and setting.
The following maps will be given a rating out of 5 for : Popularity, Balance and Replayability.

LOTR12(a) Commonly known as Hanni
This is an 8 player map set during the 3rd age, when the forces of Sauron prepare to cover Middle Earth in a final darkness. It contains the entirety of Middle Earth from The Shire and Grey Havens in the North, to Harad and Khand in the south and everything inbetween. The team situation for this map are 5v3, the 5 smaller goodies battling the 3 larger evil forces. 5/5


Silmarillion commonly known as Silm
This is an 8 player map set at the start of the 1st age, when the forces of Melkor set out to gain control of Middle Earth. It contains the entirety of western Middle Earth more commonly known as Beleraind. The team situation for this map are 5v3, the 5 smaller goodies battling the 3 larger evil forces. 5/5


LOTR Last Alliance (7player) commonly known as LA
This is a 7 player map set at the end of the 2nd age, when Sauron attempted to conquer all of Middle Earth and Men and Elves forged an alliance to stop him. It contains the entirety of Middle Earth from Forlond in the north to Harad in the south and everything inbetween. The team situation for this map is 4v3, the 4 smaller goodies battling the 3 larger evil forces. 4/5


LOTR Last Alliance (6player) commonly known as LA
This is a 6 player map set at the end of the 2nd age, when Sauron attempted to conquer all of Middle Earth and Men and Elves forged an alliance to stop him. It contains the entirety of Middle Earth from Forlond in the north to Harad in the south and everything inbetween. The team situation for this map is 3v3, the 3 medium sized goodies battling the 3 larger evil forces. 4/5


The Rings of Power commonly known as RoP
This is a 6 player map set during the middle of the 2nd age, when the Rings of Power were created, and before the sinking of Numenor. This map contains the entirety of Middle Earth from Carn Dum in the north to Harad in the south and everything inbetween it also contains the Island of Numenor in the western sea. The team situation for this map is 4v2, the 4 smaller goodies battling the 2 larger evil forces. 3/5
